Tim Rawlinson at work in the Devereux & Huskie’s studio, creating new pieces for Collect.
A glass artist based at London Glassblowing, Tim studied Architecture before finding his calling in glass at Buckinghamshire New University. Since graduating in 2011, he’s become known internationally for work that questions how we perceive objects - their form shifting depending on viewpoint, light, and the observer’s position.
Each piece begins at the furnace before moving to the cold studio, where Tim cuts and polishes the glass over weeks. The process is meticulous: hot-working sets the foundation, cold-working reveals what lies within.
His work asks: what is the real thing? What can be trusted as truth? In glass that bends and refracts light, the answer keeps changing.
